Can we Performed Umrah After Hajj

The Hajj sometimes spelt Haj, is the annual pilgrimage to Mecca that Muslims are expected to complete a minimum of once in their lifetime. The word Hajj is an Arabic word, meaning ‘to intend a journey’.

Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam – the others are shahadah (declaration of faith); salat (daily prayer); zakat (giving of alms); sawm (fasting in Ramadan).

Who should go on the Hajj?

Those Muslims should go on Hajj at least once in their lives who have gotten their puberty age, but mentally, financially and physically fitness is needed for any travelling. Pilgrims can add the title of "Hajji" to their names.

When is Hajj 2022?

This journey must take place in the month of Dhul-Hijjah, the last month of the Islamic calendar. Hajj rituals are performed from the 8th to the 12th of Dhul-Hijjah.

According to the Gregorian calendar, this time Hajj 2022 will begin in the evening of Thursday, 7 July and ends in the evening of Tuesday, 12 July.

Umrah

Umrah is the name given to Makkah, a short version of the annual Hajj gathering. The word "Umrah" in Arabic means "visiting a populated place".

Umrah provides an opportunity for Muslims to renew their faith, apologize and pray for their needs. He who does this is cleansed from his sins.

Difference Between Hajj and Umrah

Umrah is optional but Hajj is obligatory for those who are physically fit and can afford it.

Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam, and Muslims are able to perform it at least once in their lives.

Umrah can be performed throughout the year, but in the Islamic lunar calendar, Hajj is performed only at a specific time between the 8th and 13th of the last month of Dhul-Hijjah.

Can you get Umrah visa after Ramadan?

Umrah visas are not available after Ramadan for Umrah Visa seekers, as Umrah visas are not issued after the second week of Ramadan.

However, Umrah and Hajj can be performed on tourist visa till the season.

During this time, Muslims will not be able to travel to Mecca or perform Umrah on tourist visas.

I know one reason why people want to go for Umrah after Eid-ul-Fitr is because hotel prices drop significantly. It is also a quiet time for Umrah.

Can You do Umrah before Hajj

Sadly, the limits of the Hajj season are far away but the good news is that you can go for Umrah on a tourist visa after Ramadan and till the beginning of the Hajj season 2022.

People are not issued visas for Umrah after Ramadan so you have no way to go. Only those persons can perform Umrah after Ramadan who is GCC citizens.  If you are planning to go for Umrah with a reasonable price and low rush time of people then I suggest you to please book your September Umrah Package after Hajj.
